Rules and Regulations

  • Entry into the tournament will be limited to players 21 years of age and older.
  • One entry per person, per event.
  • All tournaments are free of charge to all participants.
  • Section 5.32 of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Regulations [40 Pa. Code 5.32] which states that tournaments are legal in Pennsylvania.
  • The Elite Poker Club may limit the number of entries into the tournament.
  • All tournaments will start at the given times promptly and player wishing to enter the tournament late will be penalized chips to enter the tournament.
  • Players can enter a tournament up until the end of the fourth blinds round.
  • Registration will be closed directly after the tournament clock ends the fourth blinds round.
  • The Elite Poker Club reserves the right to change tournament times due to unforeseen or extenuating circumstances.
  • The Elite Poker Club may disqualify any person based upon fraud, dishonesty, cheating, lewd conduct, or other misconduct whether or not related to the tournament.
  • The Elite Poker Club is not liable in the event of any equipment or software malfunction.
  • By entering, each participant authorizes The Elite Poker Club to the unconditional use of his/her likeness and name for purposes of advertising and promotion.
  • Entrants will be assigned to a table and seat through random selection.
  • If the participant is not present at the start of the tournament all forced blinds will be automatically removed from an absent players stack accordingly.  If the player shows and still has chips remaining, the player may play their remaining chips.
  • Tournament chips in play have no monetary value.
  • All decisions regarding the interpretation of the rules, eligibility, etc. for the tournament lie solely with The Elite Poker Club, whose decisions are final.
  • All participants must have a player’s card which will be issued to each player when they become a member.
  • Tournament rules and event descriptions will be readily available at the tournament facility.
  • The tournament host is to consider the best interest of the game and fairness as the top priority in the decision-making process.  The host’s decision is final.
  • The color up will occur after the first 4 rounds of play, and then again after the next 4 rounds of play.
  • If a clock is called on a player, said player will then have 60 seconds to make their decision when the host starts the clock.
  • The tournament will use a dead button.
  • All cards will be turned face up once a player is all in and all action is complete.
  • If a player puts in a raise of fifty percent (50%) or more of the previous bet, they will be required to make a full raise.  The raise will be exactly the minimum raise allowed.
  • The one-player-to-a-hand rule will be enforced.
  • If a card is flipped up while a hand is being dealt, continue to deal like it never happened, then at the end of the deal, the flipped up card will automatically become the burn card for the flop.
  • If more than one card is dealt face up in the course of a deal, then it is considered a misdeal. 
  • There will be no money of any kind allowed to be at the table.
  • Players will be moved from the big blind to the worst position when tables break.
  • Player’s verbal declarations in turn are binding.
  • Seat cards will be used to break tables.  The seat cards for available seats will be placed face down on the table.  High card will be used to see who draws first, the draw proceeds clockwise around the table.  When moved to new table, a dead button situation may occur.
  • Players are obligated to protect the other players in the tournament at all times.  Discussing cards discarded or hand possibilities is not allowed.
  • No String raises.  When raising, a player must either put the amount of the raise out in one motion or state the raise amount.  By stating the word raise, a player protects his or her right to raise, but the raise must be made in one additional motion unless the player states the amount.
  • Verbally disclosing the contents of your hand or advising a player how to play a hand may result in a penalty, at The Elite Poker Club’s discretion.
  • Less than a full raise does not reopen the betting to a player who has already acted.
  • One table will be used to set the button position on all games in a tournament.
  • All players will begin with the same chip amount.
  • Limits, blinds, and antes are raised at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • All decisions made by the tournament director are final.
  • By participating in the tournament, entrants agree to the rules
